Bentley's SUV offering the Bentley Bentayga!
The Bentayga is the first ever SUV from Bentley as well as the first time we have ever had a diesel engine offered and the fastest SUV on the road. If money is no object and you are looking for a luxury SUV then look no further ...
Bentayga exterior features
The Bentayga is a strong presence on the road with muscular proportions, large grille and smooth flowing lines. If you opt for the Bentayga styling specification you can enhance the look of your vehicle with carbon fibre features including a front splitter, rear diffuser, airblades and door mirrors. To add even more luxury touches the deployable sill step can be ordered, so every time you open the door a step will automatically slide out to aid your entry or exit. 20" alloy wheels are the standard, but you can upgrade to 21" or even 22" alloys if you wish.
The colour choices are never ending for the exterior. There are just under 90 single colours to choose from, with an additional 27 more duo colour combinations available.
Bentayga interior features
Inside is a mixture of handcrafted luxury and state of the art technology. There are 8 wood veneer options to choose from including Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus or Liquid Amber, the veneer is then cut and matched to create a seamless finish. If you would like a more modern look the trims can all be finished in carbon fibre instead.
The Bentayga offers the widest range of seating options of any SUV on the market. There is the option to have 4, 5 or 7 seats. Each seat is made from hand stitched leather and displays the Bentley logo. A range of 14 shades is available including the daring Hotspur or Damson as well as the more traditional Camel or Tan. There are even choices to be made with the colour of stitching you would prefer! For even more seating options, there is an event seat which folds out of the boot should the need arise.
Technology and driver aids
The most up to date technology is available in every Bentayga, each will come with the following as standard;
- Automatic braking system
- Pedestrian detection system
- Head-Up display
- Night vision
- Blind spot monitor
- Traffic sign recognition
The infotainment system offers control via touch, gesture, voice or a rotary dial. You can connect via Bluetooth or Apple carPlay. If you would like entertainment in the back, two 10.2" tablets can be found on the back of the front seat headrests. There are now three different audio options you can choose from. The Bentley system comes as standard or you can upgrade to the Bentley Signature Audio or the top of the range Naim for Bentley. This premium system is the most powerful in any SUV with a 1,950 Watt amplifier and active bass speakers which allow sound to be felt as well as heard.
Bentley models and engines
As well as the standard Bentley there are four other models you can choose from;
Bentley Bentayga Mulliner
This model provides the ultimate in luxury with rear seats that can be adjusted in 18 different ways with massage and ventilation functions. In the rear centre console you will also find a bottle cooler and chiller with two handcrafted Cumbria crystal champagne flutes behind a frosted glass soft close door. 22" alloys are the standard as is the premium Naim sound system.
The engine in the Mulliner and the standard Bentley is a 6.0 litre W12 petrol with 600bhp, 900Nm of torque with a top speed of 187mph and a 0-60mph time of only 4.0 seconds. This is the highest performance engine Bentley have to offer and produces 296g/km of Co2 and can achieve around 21.6mpg (combined).
Bentley Bentayga V8
The V8 version provides extra sporty features to the exterior such as a black and chrome radiator matrix grille and twin quad tailpipes at the rear, it is also designed to provide a sporty driving experience.
The 4 litre V8 engine produces 542bhp, has a top speed of 180mph and can cover 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds. This petrol engine emits 260g/km Co2 and will achieve 24.8mpg (combined).
Bentley Bentayga Diesel
This is the first ever diesel in Bentley's history. The 4 litre, V8 engine offers a range of over 1000km with an 85 litre tank. The power produced is 429bhp with a top speed of 168mph and 0-60mph time of 4.6 seconds. Fuel efficiency is 35.3mpg (combined) and Co2 emissions are at around 210g/km.
Bentley Bentayga Hybrid
The hybrid model is the most recent addition to the Bentayga line up. Copper coloured 'hybrid' badges mark this model out from the others. The car will always start in electric mode, but will then rely on Bentley's Intelligent Efficiency to automatically choose the best power source for driving conditions. A pure electric range of 30 miles can be achieved as well as Co2 emissions as low as 75g/km.
The price of the Bentley Bentayga starts from £135,800.
