Kahn Designs Are Working Their Magic on the Aston Martin DB9 to Create - Vengeance.......

Kahn Design are redesigning a classic again and this time they have their sights set on an Aston Martin DB9 for their new venture called ‘Vengeance’.  Vengeance promises to mix classic design with modern engineering.

Kahn will keep the DB9 Chassis, structure and interior, but the new shape body has been designed to ‘evoke the silhouette of a sabre tooth on the prowl’.

The Vengeance does have a more aggressive look achieved using a 7 bar vertical grill at the front.  20” Roulette wheel inspired alloys are present at the front.  The rear is wide and uses circular lights from the Aston Martin DB7 Zagato, sat upon 21” Alloys.

There is no official confirmation of the powertrain used, but as the Aston Martin is thought is remain mechanically unaltered it seems safe to assume the DB9 5.9 litre V12 engine will be used that will produce 510 bhp and can zoom from 0-62 mph in a tiny 4.6 seconds.

The Vengeance will be built in Coventry and within the boot of each vehicle will be a plaque signed by each member of the design team.

Kahn hope to produce 5 bespoke Vengeance models by the end of this year and a further 10 next year, the price is thought to be somewhere in the region of £300,000.  This may seem expensive to most people, but it’s cheap in comparison to its rival the David Brown Speedback GT that uses the JaguarXKR as a basis and sells for £500,000.

Who are Kahn Designs?

Kahn designs is owned by Afzal Kahn and originally started by designing and selling alloy wheels back in 1998 from a factory in Bradford.  By 2003 the company began car design modifications and now employs 80 people.  Previous designs by Kahn include:
