The Range Rover Evoque has been massively popular in the SUV sector but to keep ahead of the competition the Evoque is having a makeover due to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show here at Rivervale Car Leasing we are taking a look at all that is new …………..
On the outside the Evoque will be the first ever Jaguar Land Rover model to have full –LED adaptive headlights. The LED day time running lights have been made even more distinctive and the indicators have had an LED makeover as well. The fog lights are slimmer, the air intakes larger and there are newly designed mesh grilles. Round the back the spoiler has been redesigned with a new integrated LED brake light. There are LED daytime running lights and the boot is hands free and electric, simply hold your foot under the rear bumper to access the boot.
The range of paint choices is increasing with Waitomo Grey premium Metallic paint and Baltoro Ice Metallic Paint now available so there is now a range of 13 paints to choose from as well as 6 new alloy designs to pick from bringing the total choice of alloy designs to 12.
Inside the new range Rover Evoque there are newly designed seats, new colour combinations and more surfaces covered in leather. As standard seats will come in Ebony leather and for the top of the range models there will be a massage function on the front seats.
There is also an update to the technology of offer by Jaguar Land Rover; their InControl touchscreen infotainment system will be included. Safety wise there will be Driver Fatigue Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist and All-Terrain Progress Control
The most exciting changes come from the new engines available as the new Range Rover Evoque is going to be the most efficient car Land Rover has ever produced so those conscious of their carbon footprint can still drive a powerful car with a clear conscience.
There are some loses to the range of engines available we are saying goodbye to the 2.2 litre four cylinder diesel engine. We are however welcoming the new Ignenium, 2.0 litre engines. The 148bhp 2 wheel drive eD4 is capable of 68mpg and only emits 109g/km of CO2 the 178 bhp TD4 version can achieve 59 mpg with only 125g/km emitted.
For those who still love petrol there will be the Si4 2.0 litre turbo on offer. All will come with stop/start and due to the new lightweight engines, suspension has had a bit of a tune up to make sure handling is at the same high standard Range Rover drivers expect.
There have been no reveals on prices yet but deliveries of the new Range Rover Evoque should begin in August.
