The Top 10 Most Economical Cars

The Top 10 Most Economical Cars

For most drivers ……except the really rich ……one of the main considerations when choosing a new car will be fuel economy, with high prices we want to make sure we are getting as many miles as possible for every penny!  We all know the official mpg quoted are probably a little bit off the mark, testing in laboratories with cars stripped back to keep weight down these tests really aren’t realistic for the mpg we will achieve out on the real roads.

Which? have just tested 200 new cars and found only 3 managed to live up to their official mpg.  Over the course of a year driving 10,000 miles Which? calculated on average drivers would spend £133 more on fuel than predicted by the advertised mpg figures.

Thankfully there is help at hand in the shape of the WhatCar? technicians who perform their own mpg tests and you’ll never believe where ………. On an actual road!  So here are the top 10 economical cars for petrol and diesel fuel types ……………
