Rivervale Reviews the Renault Master Minibus

When it comes to finding a 17-seat minibus that you can drive on a D1 driving license, a Renault Master from Rivervale is the go! Here are a couple reasons why schools lease - or buy - minibuses:

  • They help you save when you have a budget ✔️
  • They ferry people from A to B ✔️
  • They are easy to drive ✔️
  • Perfect for storing masses of luggage ✔️
  • Comfortable seats ✔️
  • Diesel powered ✔️
  • Automatic ✔️

These are just some of the reasons why the Renault Master is the perfect minibus for transporting more than 16 passengers, whether it’s for teachers taking students away for educational trips or the school football team playing their local rivals away from home, there’s always something a minibus can cater for!

Our Account Manager for Education Sharon Gilpin takes you on a tour of the Renault Master…

Easily Accessible for a Diverse Range of People
The Renault Master has a side loading door that comes as standard, however you can opt for an automatic loading door, just bear in mind that it’ll be added onto the cost. Whichever you choose, the Renault Master comes standard with an electric sliding step, making access to the minibus easy, especially for children and adults. The automatic door can be closed and opened by the driver in the front seat. Anything obstructing the doors will automatically push back the door, meaning better safety and less chance of anyone hurting themselves.

From the inside, the bus is more spacious than ever before! So don’t worry if you are over 6ft tall, there’s plenty of room for you to lounge around and feel completely comfortable as if you’re right at home watching television. Okay, perhaps that description is a tad bit over the top. Obviously it’s not like the ikea-like lounging rooms we saw for the self-driving concept cars at the 2018 Paris Motor Show - nor would it ever be - but it definitely has a comfortable feel to it, especially when you consider the extra seat width, aisle width and legroom.

There are isofix anchorage points on the seats, maximising the convenience for any user. In addition to interior, there is also armchair rest for each seat and reclining seats for you to rest. This allows passengers to get as comfortable as they require during the road journey.

Boot Space
In spite of all the extra space in the rear, there is still enough space of a decently sized boot. The fact that you can carry 17 people as well as still have room for luggage space is a huge bonus. But just because the bus can withstand so much weight from the passengers and luggage doesn't mean you should over do it, so be sure to double check this incase you ever feel uncertain. As they say: “It’s better to be safe than sorry”.

Driving Experience
As for the drivers, they have everything available to them to ensure that the journey goes as smoothly, safely and surely as humanly possible - all of the controls and features including the gear is all in reach for the driver and the steering wheel is easy to operate. Some of the other standard features include; 16-inch steel wheels, central door locking, remote central locking and deadlocking, side loading door-left glazed, DAB radio/CD player, live traffic information. Some of the optional features include; navigation system, rear parking distance sensor, cruise control with speed limiter, digital tachograph, driver side electric window with one touch and heated rear window.

Colour Range
The Renault Master comes as standard in a range of colours:

  • Solid - Atlantic Blue ✔️
  • Solid - Caribbean Blue ✔️
  • Solid - Carmen Red ✔️
  • Solid - Glacier White ✔️
  • Solid - Lemon Yellow ✔️
  • Solid - Orange ✔️
  • Solid - Persian Blue ✔️

Optional colours:

  • Metallic - Pearl Black
  • Metallic - Star grey
  • Metallic - Tempest

All in all, you get a relatively decent driving experience for a minibus, you get comfortable, spacious seats, great value for money and style. Most importantly it caters to all types of people, regardless of their weight, size, and disability. This is why it’s an absolute need to have a minibus in schools.
