Rivervale's Guide to the Volkswagen Scirocco
This stylish coupe has just received an update to make it sleeker and sportier than ever before!
Our Account Manager Jordan shows you around the new look Scirocco ...
Exterior features of the Scirocco
From the outside, the Scirocco has kept its sporty coupe profile with just a few new added touches. The headlights have become more sculpted and the front grille and airtakes are now black with a new honeycomb design.
The bumpers are all body coloured, the rear bumper has black diffusers and chrome exhaust tailpipes. The rear lights have been redesigned and now incorporate LED technology.
There is now an optional panoramic sunroof which can be tilted upwards by 39mm to allow fresh air into the car, as well as create a light cabin environment.
Interior features of the Scirocco
Inside the Scirocco is an entirely modern, digital cabin with the sports instrument dials above the centre console the only nod to the original 1974 model.
The Composition Media System comes with a 6.52 touchscreen as standard which allows CD's, MP3, WMA and ACC audio files to be played and there is an AUX and USB socket as well as an SD slot. If all this isn't enough you can just listen to the DAB digital radio! The Multi Device Interface connects to all smartphones and together with Bluetooth allows the driver to make and receive calls handsfree as well as have messages read aloud and composed ready to send without needing to touch your phone.
If Drivers use the Car-Net App Connect system to connect their smartphone they will also have access to the ThinkBlue Trainer which will analyse driving and provide handy tip and advice on how to drive more efficiently which is better for the fuel bill and the environment. A fun feature of the App-Connect system is the My Guide App which will use information about the weather in your local area along with the time of day to suggest places of interest for you to visit.
Even more technology in the Scirocco comes from the Discover Navigation System which comes with European maps and will display many different types of information such as points of interest, speed limits and will offer you choices for your journey from the shortest, to the fastest and the most eco-friendly route to take. When Car-Net Guide and Inform is included you can receive real time traffic updates, find the nearest fuel stations, and view their most current prices as well as the free parking spaces in your immediate area along with parking prices.
