It will take 18 seconds for this to happen and you can operate the roof up to speeds of 18mph.

It also boasts a 6.5 inch colour screen information screen with Bluetooth, radio and USB outlet. The rotary switch which controls all this is conveniently located behind the gearstick, which makes it really easy to use and highly responsive.

It comes with a 134bhp 1.5-litre engine or the super-powerful 189bhp 2.0-litre. There’s a dual-clutch (DCT) automatic gearbox. • Real time traffic updates - your satellite navigation will look out for any hold ups on your journey, whether from a traffic jam, roadworks or an accident and can then offer an alternative route where possible to make sure you still reach your destination on time.
• MINI findmate - for those who find themselves always leaving the house with something important left behind, your MINI can help you. You can attach a Bluetooth tracking tag to your essential items so that if you get in the car without them, your MINI can let you know.
