The look, inside and out

The new look incorporates a stylish grill similar to what we have seen from other bodies in the Ford range such as the Kuga and Ecosport offering a much more sporty and slick appearance. Combine this with the improvements to the cab and interior and you can see that Ford have really made the effort to offer drivers a better experience.

Let’s start with the centre console which is the same seen in the new Fiesta update also. This is essentially an i-pad size screen that sits in the middle of the dashboard, it’s easy to use and due to its placement and size doesn’t pose any hazards to the driver using it while driving. As expected the usual bits and bobs are there, DAB, blue-tooth, cruise control and the ever-popular voice activation all within Ford’s SYNC system.

The cabin of this vehicle is the most comfortable van we’ve seen at Rivervale, the seats are both firm and supporting and the armrest in the driver seat offers that little bit of luxury to this work horse on wheels.

Performance

So let’s be clear, even though the look and feel has been improved and offers the sports feel everyone is after, its still by nature a work vehicle. The new EcoBlue TDCi engine is impressive and gives the power and muscle required easily, whether you are carrying heavy loads doing mainly urban journeys or longer distances on the motorway.

There are both auto and manual options available. These vehicles are built for durability however quite impressively the Sport versions can deliver similar performance numbers you would expect from a hot-hatch car.
