The ID.3 from Volkswagen is the self-proclaimed ‘third chapter’ in the manufacturer’s history, following the popularity of the Beetle and the Golf. The Volkswagen ID.3 comes in three iterations, from the entry-level Life, through Business to the top of the range Style. The Style offers a panoramic glass roof, Matrix LED headlights with automatic headlight control, poor weather lighting and entry lighting.
A family-friendly city car, the ID.3 has more headroom, legroom and width than the Golf, offering up enough room to comfortably transport your family but with the nimble, nifty drive of a city car. It’s a five-door, five-seat hatchback. The boot in the back is sizable whilst the cabin can sit further forward due to the position of the motor - under the rear wheels.
The exterior is approachable, but the interior of the ID.3 is futuristic and filled with innovative mod cons. Competitor model to the Nissan Leaf, the Renault Zoe and the BMW i3, the ID.3 comes in at the lower, more affordable end, whilst the top iteration is up there, competing with the Tesla Model 3, boasting a 78kWh battery which can bring forth a massive 341 miles of range. The entry-level Life meanwhile offers up a competitive range of just over 200 miles on a full battery.
