Stylish Design, Feature-Packed and Ready for Action

At the forefront of Ford's electric vehicle charge, the all-electric Ford Explorer is the first vehicle to be manufactured at scale in the newly built Ford Cologne EV Centre in Germany. Committed to offering a fully electric passenger vehicle range by 2030, Ford in Europe is pushing itself to create a more sustainable motor future.

The aerodynamic exterior of Ford's iconic American SUV embodies a spirit of assertive style while ushering in an electric era, featuring a striking "shield" design instead of a conventional grille.

Explorer's SYNC Move infotainment system 2 offers occupants an interactive experience with its retractable 15 inch touchscreen that can be adjusted to the driver’s preference. Alongside this, a compartment for two large smartphones, complete with wireless device charger comes as standard; plus, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility ensures a wireless connection. Additionally, a private locker gives occupants the perfect place to store away their valuable items.

Recharging can be effortless, near or far. Explorer can help pinpoint the most convenient stops on your journey. Taking advantage of lower electricity costs, charging at home can be scheduled for a full battery and pre-heated car ready to go when you are.

Explorer is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options, with the driver able to benefit from heated front seats and steering wheel, a massaging seat and dual climate control. Keyless entry and hands-free tailgate add another layer of convenience - no need to struggle with a heavy boot door. Thanks to its activation with only a simple kicking motion beneath the bumper, you can get into the car without needing any extra help when your arms are full!

In Europe for the first time, Ford offers Assisted Lane Change 3 as a driver assistance system, which allows drivers to change lanes safely and smoothly by pressing an indicator stalk. In crowded urban areas, Clear Exit Assist warns drivers of approaching cyclists before they open doors.

For all who like to explore and discover, the great outdoors is a fantastic place of real-life adventure. There is no better way to experience the thrill of discovery than going out into nature and exploring its depths. You can uncover fascinating secrets and unearth hidden wonders when you get outside and really explore the great outdoors.

Reliving an Iconic Roadtrip Around The World

Ford is working with Lexie Alford, also known as Lexie Limitless - the youngest person to ever visit every country in the world - to show off the capabilities of their all-electric Explorer. The journey will be inspired by Aloha Wanderwell and her record-breaking round-the-world trip in a Model T sponsored by Ford 100 years ago. This new global expedition led by Lexie is set to kick-off later this year.
